In Cambodia, I tried to use drinking water for everything I cooked and washed. I didn’t cook much myself in the end because I didn’t want to waste my drinking water. I often had meal at local restaurants. Many of foods appeared to be influenced by Chinese food and Indian food. As a Japanese,it tasted very familiar and looked familiar.I enjoyed it!
I tried some Khmer food but couldn’t remember the name of the food in Khmer.
If you are interested, you should try anything. If you get a stomach ache, it is best to get medicine locally! That’s what I did too, LOL.
